Our Story
From Scratch is not a food truck. It is a fine-dining kitchen on wheels, built on the belief that Haitian cuisine deserves to be celebrated at the highest level.
Chef Jean Louis Samedi brings the same precision you'd find in a Michelin-trained kitchen to every service in El Paso. Every dish, from the 24-hour sous-vide Griot de Prestige to the silky Joumou Velouté Royale, is made from scratch that morning, using real techniques and quality ingredients sourced fresh.
Nothing comes out of a can. Nothing is reheated. No shortcuts. This is Haitian food as it was meant to be experienced: elevated, proud, and unforgettable.

Whether it's a corporate lunch, a wedding reception, a birthday dinner, or a private celebration, From Scratch brings the full fine-dining Haitian experience to your venue. Everything is made fresh, set up professionally, and served with the same precision as our truck service.
Catering inquiries are responded to within 24 hours. A signed proposal and deposit are required to confirm your date. Minimum guest counts apply per package. All events subject to availability.
